Sobre nosotros Esta Plataforma fue fundada a través de la intensiva cooperación de la organización ecuatoriana CORCKA y de voluntario/as en todo el mundo. Por el momento, la organización Viva Amazonía Austria tiene su sede en Viena y mantiene contactos con actores en Ecuador, Francia, Dinamarca, Suiza y Canadá. Nuestro objetivo es abrir un amplio espectro de información y además informar sobre la crítica multifacética y activa a través de la conexión directa entre los afectados en la zona amazónica y todos los actores que tienen interés en los siguientes temas.

The Special Rapporteur on the situation of the human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous people, Professor James Anaya, will visit Peru from 17 to 19 June 2009. The purpose of the visit is to examine the situation of the indigenous peoples in the country, in particular in relation to the confrontations over recent weeks. The visit follows an invitation by the Government of Peru to the Special Rapporteur and by several indigenous organizations and groups in the country to carry out a visit. The Special Rapporteur will hold meetings with government representatives, members of the national Congress, the Public Defenders office, and indigenous peoples and organizations.
